Grounding began simultaneously with my process of integration in France. Geopolitical tension and language barriers forced me to search for connections beyond the social realm, in contact with basic materials: clay, earth, residuals of dust or plants, namely leaves of the oldest oak tree in the Morbihan region (France). They were combined and blended with similar materials from The Netherlands, Russia, China, the USA, and Kazakhstan – the lands in which I have lived. This project comprises a film-essay detailing my journey of sensory haptic integration and a series of dependent-on-support sculptures.
