This series of anthropomorphic sculptures came in 2020 straight from my notes book during the lectures on Media Studies at Leiden University. The body of each figure is shaped with so-described African stone – dark brown clay with chamotte, relatively rough and brittle. The tongs of the figures are made from re-melted Dutch measuring spoons for imported spices.
